Join The Urbanist for our February social events, which are expanding to Redmond this month. We have both a Seattle social on February 20th and will be joining Eastside Urbanism on the 27th. These events are great for networking, meeting fellow urbanists, learning about issues in your community, and hearing about opportunities to get involved. February 20: The Urbanist’s Seattle Social

What: A social gathering hosted by The Urbanist. Chat with fellow urbanists about the latest happenings, such as Seattle’s housing growth plan push. Urbanist staff will be on hand to take questions and share ways to get involved.

Where: Big Time Brewery at 4133 University Way NE in Seattle’s University District.

When: Thursday, February 20th from 6pm – 8pm

February 27: Urbanist Social with Eastside Urbanism in Redmond

What: A social gathering with Eastside Urbanism, a local community group of urbanists making their voices heard on the eastside.

Where: Jack Sprat at Verde Esterra Park in Redmond.

When: Thursday, February 27th from 6pm – 8pm.

Transit Stops: 2 Line (Overlake Station), B Line, 221, 245, 542, 545 (not an exhaustive list)

February 18: Urbanist Shoreline February Social

What: A social gathering put on by Urbanist Shoreline, a growing community of Urbanists in Shoreline.

Where: Ridgecrest Public House at 520 NE 165th St, Shoreline, WA

When: Tuesday, February 18th from 7pm – 9pm.

Weekly Wednesday West Seattle Urbanist Social

What: A social gathering in West Seattle put on by some local urbanists.

Where: Great American Diner & Bar at 4752 California Ave SW, Seattle, WA

When: Wednesday, February 12th, 19th, 26th at 6pm.

Hackamapathon 2: Electric Bike-aloo – Mapping Tools for Urbanist Activism

What: Hosted by Urbanist Shoreline, the Hackmapathon is an opportunity to learn about geospatial and civic mapping tools, with a focus on bike riding and biking advocacy. Bring a laptop, no prior experience is required.

Where: Shoreline Library at 345 NE 175th St

When: March 1st, 11am – 1:30pm.
