Please join The Urbanist for our monthly meetup on Thursday, July 25th at 5:30pm at Stoup Capitol Hill. Stoup welcomes all-ages and has non-alcoholic options and a food truck to satisfy everyone’s needs. No RSVP needed — just bring your ideas and enthusiasm.
With the recent heat wave fresh in everyone’s minds, this month’s theme will be climate change and the role of urbanism in combatting it. From taking transit and biking, to pressing your local city councils to make policy changes, to reducing the need for long commutes via urban infill housing development, there are myriad ways urbanist principles can be put to use in addressing climate challenges. Ahead of the meetup, check out climate coverage from The Urbanist.
Urbanist meetups are a great opportunity to network, learn, and share ideas with like-minded folks. Whether you’re interested in transportation, housing, public space, sustainability, equity, or even if you’re new to urbanism, we invite you to join us. We are always looking to welcome new folks. Drop by to chat with some of your favorite contributors at The Urbanist.
We hope to see you there!!
