Who knows if Bertha will ever complete her journey to the South Lake Union. But this week, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) put out some very intersting footage from within the deep bore tunnel. With the help of a drone, WSDOT takes viewers the whole length of the tunnel dug thus far. Along the way, viewers can see the equipment, section panels, and immensity of the project.
Sidenote: The interwebz got creative with the whole May the Fourth/Star Wars trope and how much the tunnel atmosphere feels like the Death Star.
