The city is calling a meeting because some developments allowed by the current zoning have raised complaints from neighborhood residents.
The meeting’s purpose is to take feedback about the zoning rules. The feedback will be used to draft changes. Unfortunately, considerations about housing costs are not mentioned as a priority for the meeting. Instead the purpose is to help buildings “fit” into neighborhoods. If you are concerned about housing costs you should attend and ensure your concerns are heard.

When:

Tuesday, January 14, 2014, 6:30 – 8pm

Where:

Lowell Elementary School
1058 E. Mercer St.
Seattle, WA

You can see it on the city website here. If you’d like to attending with Housing for Seattle send us a message and we can meet beforehand.
